Joy Division - Heartless & Soulless: The Heart & Soul Outtakes Collection [no label 3CD] CD1 and 2 contains Warsaw demos, alternate takes, John Peel sessions, TV sessions, the Arrow Studio Sessions in Manchester, Sept 20 1978 and more left off the official boxset. CD3 is the live disc with tracks from Bowden Vale, The Apollo Manchester and De Effenaar, Eindhoven, almost all from 1979. Ex SBD stereo. Tks 1-4 the very first New Order demo, recorded at Cabaret Voltaire's Western Works Studios in Sheffield, July 1980. Tks 5-19 studio rehearsals from 1981-1984. I heard this tape very often, and ( for me ) there are some big differences (his voice, different Lyrics, vocal version of "Lets Go" is different than the version of the bootleg single and than the version which was released as a b-side of the "1963" promo CD single. At the time, the rock press reported New Order were about to split, hence some tension in this performance. The Michael Jackson vulgarity has been excised and is not on this version. Ex SBD stereo. Unfortunately there are gaps before five of the 13 tracks - Regret, True Faith, Temptation, Fine Time and Perfect Kiss. You can't close the gaps as some data/music is missing. NOT FOR TRADE.
